Honda is launching a consumer information advertising campaign urging Honda owners to check for open recalls, and to replace Takata airbag inflators. The multimillion-dollar campaign begin on Monday, March 16, and will include print, digital, and radio media.
According to Honda, the campaign is a call to action that is designed to “break through clutter, grab the attention of customers driving the affected vehicles, and urge that they get the repairs as soon as possible.”
Expect to encounter full-page advertisements in English and Spanish in 120 newspapers and 30-second radio spots in more than 110 markets. However, if consumers respond to the ad, the lack of availability of replacement parts will lead to delays.
